How to Sow

  • For best results, sow pepper seeds indoors from late Winter onwards, so the plants have a long summer of growth
  • Sow seeds individually, approx 2 per cell or small pot, cover with a thin layer of compost and water
  • Seeds may take approx. 2 weeks before germination

Plant Care

  • Once seedlings are a few inches tall, they may be transplanted to larger pots
  • Pepper plants need the long warm days of the summer in order to fruit
  • Plants can be brought outside once warmer weather arrives or kept in a greenhouse / cold frame

AllotMe’s Tips

  • Pinch out the top of pepper plants once they're about 8inches tall to encourage more fruit, and a less top-heavy plant
  • Pepper plants are best grown in a greenhouse if possible
  • Don't forget to stake your plants for support once mature
