How to Sow
- Soak your pumpkin seeds in water prior to sowing for approx 4 hours to encourage germination
- Make a small well in the soil with your finger approx 2 inches deep
- Place one seed, pointy end down into each cell or small pot, then cover with compost, lightly pat down and water
- Do not water again until the plant has emerged above the soil
Plant Care
- Once one or two true leaves appear, the plant can be transplanted outdoors to a soil bed
- When planting outside, space the plants approx 6-10 ft apart
- Once the fruits are starting to swell, it's good practice to place something under each pumpkin so it's not sitting on wet soil
